I have never participated in travel theme photography before. Since this blog is about Europe, I wanted to find an appropriate photo from Europe “beyond the pale”. Fact: This photo is not from Europe. This was taken with my point and shoot standing on Glacier Point on Lopez Island in the San Juan Islands of Washington State. It was afternoon and the clouds were gathering over the Strait of Juan de Fuca. The sky was so big. The water was so big. It felt like heaven on earth.
