Barton Weber...then 1972.

Barton on the bridge over the Isar River in Munich, Germany, his adopted home. My old college buddy spent his career as the orchestral pianist for the Bavarian Radio Orchestra. I hope to visit him this summer.

This is my uncle – my mother’s older brother. There is definitely a family resemblance. I have not seen him since I was approximately 5 years old (1978 or so), so I scarcely remember him. I see from various internet sources that his talents with the piano have made him quite successful. I’m glad to hear that he’s doing well. If you speak with him, please let him know that he is missed.

Jared, I am glad that you found your uncle Barton on my blog. We used to keep in touch once a year around the holidays, but that doesn’t happen anymore. I was in Europe in 2013. I have two friends from college who live there. Barton is one of them. There was a big dinner of American expatriates and I saw Barton and got to talk with him then. Barton is doing well, retired from the Bavarian Radio Orchestra. He does not work with computers, and that is the principal reason that we don’t keep up. I can get a message to him, but I will have to do it through my other friend Lucy. She is not very good at maintaining correspondence either. I will certainly pass your message along. Sincerely, Rosemarie Cereghino P.S. I have several other blogs. If you look for Europe 2013…Africa 2014, you will find a post with more current photos of Barton.

I went to grade school, junior high and high school with Barton. He’s a great guy with a lot of talent. I remember his mother and his sister. He called me back in the 90’s but we never did connect. I wasn’t at the reunion he attended. I think it was 1998. Please tell him hello if you talk to him. I am now in Fort Myers, Fl.

Marcia, I’m sorry my response is so delayed. I saw Barton when I was in Munich the summer of 2013. It was a nice gathering of Washington University music graduates. Barton does not use a computer at all, so I have had zero contact with him since that summer. I do have a snail mail address for him if you would like it. Rosemarie

That would be great. I found an old telephone number for him and if I have no luck with the e-mail address, I may try to call. Thank you very much. Marcia
