Out of the Blue

4 May

What can turn an ordinary day into extraordinary? Getting a phone call across the Atlantic from a college friend you haven’t seen or talked to in 38 years. My old friend Lucy called me out of the blue this afternoon, and after just a few minutes the years fell away.  I am so excited to visit her in Munich this summer. We have all of our lives to catch up on.

Nothing like having friends like that. I had not seen my Canadian friends since 1976 and in January this year we had a wonderful reunion.

Best wishes for your reunion and thanks for visiting, liking my Colourful Cairns post.

By the way, you and I are the same age, both musicians, both women … what’s not to like?! Following you now …

A friend with whom you can pick things up where you left off is indeed a true friend. I count myself blessed to have some of these and I’m glad you do, too.
