Mountain Climbers

Mountain Climbers

They challenge the mountains in ways most people would never attempt. They get everyone’s attention. When someone spots mountain climbers, everyone’s eyes become riveted on their maneuvers. I could barely see these guys with the naked eye, but when I put the zoom lens on the camera, I came up with these shots. I can’t believe how they cling to that shear rock face. Tre Cime is a favorite spot for mountain climbing because it is easily accessible.

Making my way back to Rifugio Auronzo and the car. I had time to have a cup of tea while waiting for the others to arrive back by the alternate route.

Oh my word – those mountain climbers are insane! I’m amazed you spotted them from that far away. Good camera!

I could barely see them with my naked eye. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw how the photo came out.

Some people’s way of having fun. Good on them and good shots.

Oh….that is something I would never try – far too dangerous. I always think of the Swedish climber and adventurer Göran Kropp, who some years ago pushed this too far and died. His wife, Renata Chlumska, goes on doing these things…They reched Mount Everest I know, but I don’t understand how she wants to continue now. I guess it’s a fever.

Very good shots – from a distance, but that only makes it look even more tough!

I couldn’t see them very well at all with my naked eye. The camera did its job.
